Water Pledge: a CSR initiative by Securitas India in collaboration with CII

Voluntary Water pledge

Water is the most important natural resource that is supporting life on earth. We as the end users and constituents of the nature should understand the importance of ‘Water’ and its optimal use. We should realize, that only by efficient management of this natural resource, we would be able to contribute to an equitable and fair availability for every individual on this planet.

As an initiative to stand in support of this mission, let’s put our hands together and pledge to “Efficient Water Resources Management and Conservation” by observing the Aqua Code, as mentioned below:

Voluntary Aqua Code
1. We commit ourselves and our resources- physical, human, financial and intellectual, to reduce consumption of water in every activity as much as possible, and set own standard / target for reduction of water year on year.

2. Minimize use of fresh/ potable water wherever possible, and ensure that every activity that could be carried out without using fresh water would be carried out in such manner only.

3. Reuse water as much as possible, directly or after appropriate processing/ treatment, target for increasing use of recycled water as a percentage of fresh water used, day on day. Treat waste water that cannot be recycled and dispose that responsibly, in a manner that it does not cause any harm to environment including water.

4. Work for replenishment of water resources through rainwater harvesting, revival of water bodies/ any other manner, in our own establishments and if possible in communities too.

5. Increase awareness about Water Resources Management in one’s own establishment as well as in the supply chain and amongst our Customers and the communities we live in.
